Holiday Cash Giveaway

$300 Holiday Cash Giveaway – December 1st to 21st

The second giveaway is a set of 4 Kurt Adler glass icicles. Enter the rafflecopter for a chance to win these and an ecopy of Christmas Pets and Kisses. And tell me your favorite Christmas movie. Do you like sweet? Funny? Scary? (Personally I hate those, I think it’s sacrilege but my niece loves them.) Do you have a traditional movie you watch every year without fail? Here are a few of my favorites.

  6. I always watch Scrooged, and A Christmas Story. I even have a leg lamp!

  7. I just love that version of the Bishop’s Wife but my favorite is It’s a Wonderful Life , I even watch it all year long.

  10. Marilyn

My favorite “Christmas movie is: “Christmas In Connecticut” starring Barbara Stanwyck.

    • I loved it when she tried to change the baby’s diaper!

  11. Happy Holidays!

It’s just too hard to pick one favorite holiday movie. The ones that make me cry resonate the most. There is one movie that deserves special mention. It’s a “Mom & Me” movie–one that we both gave a high rating and really enjoyed watching together–and that makes it extra-memorable.

“One Special Night”, with James Garner and Julie Andrews, is a beautifully poignant film that shows that the suffering, sadness, and sacrifice that comes when a loved one becomes ill may ultimately be replaced with a renewed joy in living. Even those in the later years of their life may find a second chance for love and happiness. James Garner and Julie Andrews were great friends, and they had onscreen magic. I have loved James Garner since I was a little girl, and even though this was film was made when he was older, he was vibrant, masculine, charming and still the one and only Big Jim. This film is superb on all levels–and it makes you crave chocolate-chip pancakes!

    • I had forgotten about that movie. It was right after she had lost her voice. I need to look that one up again.
